2011-09-10Migrate some floating point code to fixed point in libgme.Andree Buschmann1-1/+1

2011-08-31Update libgme to Blargg's Game_Music_Emu 0.6-pre.Andree Buschmann1-3/+3

2011-08-30Submit parts of FS#12189 regarding codec API. Replaces access to global ↵Andree Buschmann1-2/+2
settings with a dedicated function to determine if the current track shall be looped. Used by several synthesizer codecs. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@30391 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2011-08-13Remove all IRAM attributes from libGME to be able to restart the IRAM ↵Andree Buschmann1-1/+1
optimization on a clean code base. As first step move the sample buffers to IRAM which results in a 1-5% speedup for all codecs. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@30284 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2011-08-07Submit initial patch from FS#12176. Adds support for several new game music ↵Andree Buschmann1-4415/+68
formats (AY, GBS, HES, KSS, SGC, VGM and VGZ) and replaces the current NSF and NSFE with a new implementation based on a port of the Game Music Emu library 'GME'. This first submit does not cover the full functionality provided by the author's original patch: Coleco-SGV is not supported, some GME-specific m3u-support has been removed and IRAM is not used yet. Further changes are very likely to follow this submit. Thanks to Mauricio Garrido. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@30264 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2011-05-15FS#12113: Optimize IRAM configuration for NES Sound Format. Performance is ↵Andree Buschmann1-25/+40
stable on Coldfire and shows performance gains from about 50-100% (PP5020, S5L870x, PP5022) up to 168% (PP5002). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@29886 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2011-04-28Get the NSF internal playlists working again. Fix a few wrongdoings in the ↵Michael Sevakis1-18/+11
metadata parser. Use the larger of track or playlist count to determine 'duration' so that the repeat-one switching to access the raw tracks works. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@29793 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2011-04-27Commit FS#12069 - Playback rework - first stages. Gives as thorough as ↵Michael Sevakis1-42/+40
possible a treatment of codec management, track change and metadata logic as possible while maintaining fairly narrow focus and not rewriting everything all at once. Please see the rockbox-dev mail archive on 2011-04-25 (Playback engine rework) for a more thorough manifest of what was addressed. Plugins and codecs become incompatible. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@29785 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2011-02-20Enforce that codecs wait for their metadata in a proper-ish and consistent ↵Michael Sevakis1-4/+5
manner. Sort of a halfway patch; best would be to give them an internal copy of the current track information which lasts unaltered by playback until a track switch or unload. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@29348 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-05-06Make open() posix compliant api-wise. A few calls (those with O_CREAT) need ↵Thomas Martitz1-1/+1
the additional optional mode parameter so add it. Impact for the core is almost zero, as open() is a wrapper macro for the real open function which doesn't take the variable parameter. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@25844 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2007-02-26SWCODEC: Fix the problem of replaygain not being applied unless the menu is ↵Michael Sevakis1-0/+2
entered. Make all codecs set the replay gain or else formats that do not have replaygain will not set the gain back to default if a file with gain applied proceeded them. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@12498 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-02-10SWCODEC: Annoying neatness update. Use intptr_t for codec_configure_callback ↵Michael Sevakis1-3/+3
and dsp_configure and stop all the silly type casting of intergral types to pointers to set dsp configuration and watermarks. Shouldn't have any effect on already compiled codecs at all. Will fix any important patches in the tracker so they compile. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@12259 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2007-02-07Fix resampling clicking as much as possible at the moment. 1) Upsampling ↵Michael Sevakis1-3/+1
clicked because of size inaccuracies returned by DSP. Fix by simplifying audio system to use per-channel sample count from codec to pcm buffer. 2) Downsampling affected by 1) and was often starting passed the end of the data when not enough was available to generate an output sample. Fix by clamping input range to last sample in buffer and using the last sample value in the buffer. A perfect fix will require a double buffering scheme on the resampler to sufficient data during small data transients on both ends at all times of the down ratio on input and the up ratio on output. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@12218 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
