2020-09-30audio: Add support for 192 and 176KHz playbackSolomon Peachy1-1/+1
* SAMPR_CAPS_ALL -> SAMPR_CAPS_ALL_48/96/192 * All targets claiming SAMPR_CAPS_ALL now get appropriate subset * No need to explicitly define HAVE_PLAY_FREQ * Rates that are a multiple of 44 or 48KHz can be used for playback Inspired by a patch by Roman Stolyarov, but substantially rewritten by myself. 2020-07-24[4/4] Remove HAVE_LCD_BITMAP, as it's now the only choice.Solomon Peachy1-2/+2
Note: I left behind lcd_bitmap in features.txt, because removing it would require considerable work in the manual and the translations. Change-Id: Ia8ca7761f610d9332a0d22a7d189775fb15ec88a

'swcodec' is now always set (and recording_swcodec for recording-capable units) in feature.txt so the manual and language strings don't need to all be fixed up. Change-Id: Ib2c9d5d157af8d33653e2d4b4a12881b9aa6ddb0

2018-07-27As3525 v1/v2 Add power savings menuWilliam Wilgus1-0/+5
Allow user to select cpu undervolt There have been quite a few issues across the SANSA AMS line related to CPU undervolting while most players show greatly increased runtime some crash. Rather than constanly upping the voltage we now have a setting with a safe value for all players and the option for lower voltages I plan to add a few other options here later such as disk timings and maybe some other clocks/experimental settings Added: Disk Low speed option for AS3525v2 devices cuts frequency to 12 MHz from 24 MHz Added: Disk Low speed option for AS3525v1 devices cuts frequency to 15.5 MHz from 31 MHz Added: I2c Low Speed AS3525 devices, should be bigger improvement for v1 devices Fixed: Debug menu for AS3525v2 No SDSLOT frequency, Showed IDE freq though it is unused Added: DBOP and SSP underclocking affects display on v1/v2 respectively Fixed: debug menu now has SSP frequency, and SSP_CPSR Update: made settings menu more generic Update: cleaned up code Added: Clip v1 & Fuze v1 didn't have HAVE_ADJUSTABLE_CPU_VOLTAGE. not sure why but, waiting on testing to confirm Added: C200v2 and E200v2 devices and HAVE_ADJUSTABLE_CPU_VOLTAGE. Fixed: v1 devices don't like display timing set lower (dbop) v1 devices don't have a divider set for ssp (causes divide by 0) Fixed: ClipZip display lags with Max SSP divider changed from 0xFE to 0x32 Fixed: v1 devices didn't work properly with highspeed sd cards Added code from http://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/#/c/1704/ Added powersave and IDE interface enable/disable Added: V2 devices now have powersave enabled on sd interface Update: cleaned up code, lang defines, added manual entries Update ssp clock mechanism added calculated ssp divider to clipzip Update turn display clock off when clip+ turns off display Fixed: clipzip wrong register for SSP clock Change-Id: I04137682243be92f0f8d8bf1cfa54fbb1965559b TODO: add other players?
2017-10-29Add boot from other volumes in bootloader on targets with HAVE_MULTIVOLUMEWilliam Wilgus1-0/+2
Adds the ability to load firmware from other drives on MULTIVOLUME targets Mihail Zenkov <mihail.zenkov@gmail.com> had posted a hard coded patch to allow this on several Sansa players, I made it more universal Redirect file rockbox_main.<name> should placed in root of drive you would like to be main, if this file empty or there a single slash '/' firmware will be loaded from /.rockbox in root of this drive If instead a /<*DIRECTORY*> is supplied in rockbox_main.<name> then firmware will be loaded from /<dir>/.rockbox/ NOTES* The directory can have multiple levels however.. leading slash MUST be included trailing slash can be omitted (eg. /test/.rockbox would be simply '/test' in the redirect file) Redirect file will not work on internal drive (whatever is default boot drive) Volume with the highest index containing redirect file will be loaded first. Firmware file is checked for boot data region, if missing, firmware image will not be loaded. On failure or if no redirect file is found load will fallback to internal drive Currently only Sansa Fuze+, Sansa Clip+, Sansa Clip Zip, Sansa Fuzev2, and Sansa Fuzev1 are implemented. Players (with HAVE_MULTIVOLUME) will need #define HAVE_BOOTDATA and #define BOOT_REDIR "rockbox_main.<name>" added to their config file boot_data is implemented in crt0.s file (See g#1552) ARM and IMX233 have aleady been implemented Once these conditions are met <HAVE_MULTIBOOT> will be defined by config.h Partitions on the drives are able to have a redirect as well. 2016-03-27Enable voltage scaling on AMSv2.Michael Giacomelli1-0/+3
Voltage is reduced when the CPU is unboosted, resulting in a large reduction in power consumption. In analogy with the AMSv1 voltage scaling code (currently disabled due to problems with SD cards), I have defined a config file option to enable/disable it. 2016-01-21Enable frequency scaling on AMSv2 devices.Mihail Zenkov1-2/+2
Voltage scaling is not yet enabled, but will follow once we are sure these changes are stable. Preliminary testing suggests a large increase in battery life, which will be further improved by voltage scaling. Patch by Mihail Zenkov with help from myself and others on the forums. 2015-01-08usb: finally get rid of USE_ROCKBOX_USB in Sansa bootloader, use bootloader usbAmaury Pouly1-1/+1

Furthermore, it is a leftover of some early developments on the USB stack and doesn't make sense anymore. 2012-01-03Rework powermgmt to enable code re-use on appliation and sims.Thomas Martitz1-0/+2
* Introduce CONFIG_BATTERY_MEASURE define, to allow targets (application) to break powermgmt.c's assumption about the ability to read battery voltage. There's now additionally percentage (android) and remaining time measure (maemo). No measure at all also works (sdl app). If voltage can't be measured, then battery_level() is king and it'll be used for power_history and runtime estimation. * Implement target's API in the simulator, i.e. _battery_voltage(), so it doesn't need to implement it's own powermgmt.c and other stubs. Now the sim behaves much more like a native target, although it still changes the simulated battery voltage quickly, * Other changes include include renaming battery_adc_voltage() to _battery_voltage(), for consistency with the new target functions and making some of the apps code aware that voltage and runtime estimation is not always available. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@31548 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2011-12-08AS3525v1/v2:Michael Sevakis1-1/+8
Fix problems with volume of recorded material by converting 14-bit samples to 16-bit. Remove duplicate samples from recorded data and support proper samplerate since ADC runs 1/2 the codec clock. Support monitoring mono on both output channels by feeding data manually to I2SOUT under the right conditions. DMA is no longer used for recording since frames must be processed as described above but it does allow full-duplex audio. Miscellaneous change includes a proper constant (HW_SAMPR_DEFAULT) to reset the hardware samplerate when recording is closed. PP5024 and AS3525 have different default recording rates (22kHz and 44kHz respectively) but both have half-speed ADC. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@31180 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

- Enable end of charge monitoring once, it doesn't need to be disabled - Acknowledge the first (wrong) end of charge interrupt on charger enable (this had been broken in r25299) - Centralize reads to ENRD* registers and cache the results when needed - on PP it is not needed because reads are atomic, we only check for end of charge when the charging, and for charger presence when discharging as3525v2 (using as3543) specifics - I got the datasheet today from AMS, thanks to them for being so fast and not require me to sign tons of papers! - USB detection now works on as3525v2 using the as3543. Clip+ won't reboot to OF yet, it needs mkamsboot support first (usbstack disabled) - Charging should work, the CHARGER register is at a different place, it is an extended PMU register -> use ascodec_read/write_charger() to access it - real interrupts are not used yet for ENRD, we get thousands of interrupts per second, apparently only limited by the i2c clock. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@26116 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
