2011-02-02Clean up multiple definitions of RAM size. Remove -DMEM (make) and MEM ↵Andree Buschmann1-1/+1
(code), use the already defined MEMORYSIZE instead. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@29189 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-11-27Undo r28682. Bad idea...Andree Buschmann1-1/+1
git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@28683 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-11-27Use CACHEALIGN_BITS to calculate CACHEALIGN_SIZE instead of directly setting it.Andree Buschmann1-1/+1
git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@28682 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-11-19Reinsert CACHEALIGN_SIZE to imx31l.h, r28619 expected another local change.Andree Buschmann1-0/+1
git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@28620 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-11-19Define CACHEALIGN_BITS for missing ARM CPUs for later use.Andree Buschmann1-1/+0
git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@28619 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-05-18Gigabeat S: Implement LCD contrast, invert and flip modes. Enhance LCD power ↵Michael Sevakis1-31/+123
management. Include init data but it's not needed yet (identical to Gigabeat F). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@26154 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-05-14Cache align the pitch detector audiobuffer where needed. Some other misc. ↵Michael Sevakis1-0/+1
changes to try to make sure everything builds. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@26011 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-05-08Gigabeat S: Reclaim about 800K of memory that was laying unused. Get rid of ↵Michael Sevakis1-3/+7
DEVBSS_ATTR for this target and implement as NOCACHEBSS_ATTR. Plugin and codec buffers move so all that is now incompatible (do full update). No version increase for plugins/codecs because the loader will reject them. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@25895 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-04-23i.MX31/Gigabeat S: Implement frequency and voltage scaling-- 1.6V for ↵Michael Sevakis1-41/+26
528MHz, and 1.35V for 264MHz and 132MHz. Keep DPTC overdrive ( > 400MHz) voltage scaling off for now because of uncertainties. Simplify the (working) mess later. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@25699 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-04-23i.MX31: Add some enums and a couple helper functions to make dealing with ↵Michael Sevakis1-259/+46
pin muxing and pad configuration a bit more sane. Convert any existing code which changes mux/pad settings to use helpers. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@25698 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-04-07Gigabeat S (imx31): Begin voltage and frequency scaling code. For now, to ↵Michael Sevakis1-0/+203
avoid overdrive voltage, just lower core voltage to 1.35V since voltage scaling shouldn't be required for frequencies lower than 399 MHz (according to Freescale BSP, which set all working points to 1.35V for those frequencies). Perhaps battery life will improve as well (cross fingers :). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@25506 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2009-06-29Put TIMER_FREQ definition in CPU-specific config, and remove timer-target.hRafaël Carré1-0/+4
Note : SH has TIMER_FREQ defined to CPU_FREQ, so any code wanting it must include #config.h before #cpu.h git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@21560 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-03-22imx31/mc13783: Do some housekeeping with register macros, function names and ↵Michael Sevakis1-284/+209
other defines. No functional changes (except to alter a couple int priorities). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@20442 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-03-12Gigabeat S: Implement MDMA and UDMA disk access for bootloader and main ↵Michael Sevakis1-2/+2
binary. Add a needed SDMA API to check channel errors. Increase audio DMA channels' priority as required. Reads and writes measure faster accross all test_disk tests and especially at 4KB and 1MB. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@20299 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

Fix timing for PIO tAX. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@20169 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-02-08Gigabeat S: Implement an SDMA API and use it in the PCM driver. Some other ↵Michael Sevakis1-0/+151
miscellaneous adjustments to recording and PCM buffer to accomodate use of physical addresses and cache coherency. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19949 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-02-07Gigabeat S: Move the LCD framebuffer address so that DRAM can be mapped flat ↵Michael Sevakis1-2/+9
between physical and virtual addresses. NO BOOTLOADER UPDATE SHOULD BE NEEDED. The firmware image now handles low-level system setup as well. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19935 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-01-23Gigabeat S: Implement a genuine udelay function. Timer is gated to not run ↵Michael Sevakis1-0/+86
in WFI mode to save power and as such time until rollover is variable. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19820 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-01-19USB detection changes. c200/e200: Consider USB to be powered when charger is ↵Michael Sevakis1-3/+5
plugged but detect USB connection by bus reset. When received, disconnect and restart the driver fully enabled. imx31: Fix hack used to make initial connect succeeded-- set PHY type before initial reset. General: Move some target code out of usb-drv-arc.c and implement it in respective usb sources and CPU headers so things stay clean. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19797 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-12-31Gigabeat S: Allow recording from FM. Give FM the same volume range as ↵Michael Sevakis1-2/+2
playback. NOTE: This bumps the si4700 output volume to -0dB so other players with that may need a minor adjustment. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19619 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-12-27Make si4700 tuner driver more sane with bit and field defines and entirely ↵Michael Sevakis1-45/+55
hide strange i2c interface from code with write/set/clear/masked functionality. On Gigabeat S use by-the-book busmode selection and GPIO lines. Implement some primitive station detection, debug registers in screen, and misc. changes to tie things together. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19600 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2008-06-28Updated our source code header to explicitly mention that we are GPL v2 orDaniel Stenberg1-2/+4
later. We still need to hunt down snippets used that are not. 1324 modified files... http://www.rockbox.org/mail/archive/rockbox-dev-archive-2008-06/0060.shtml git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17847 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-05-11Enable write buffering for the 1MB device memory section. This means using a ↵Michael Sevakis1-1/+1
different device framebuffer address too. You must update the firmware _and_ bootloader. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17458 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2008-05-03Gigabeat S: Man it's so loud in here. We have SOUND! Someone please make ↵Michael Sevakis1-0/+407
keymaps consistent; it's rather messy atm. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17327 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-05-02Remove some cruft not being used that interferes with building rockboy on ↵Michael Sevakis1-4/+0
Gigabeat S. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17302 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-04-27IMX31: Use template structures to access modules' registers from a base ↵Michael Sevakis1-66/+49
address (as for i2c) which makes drivers look nicer and makes array accesses of registers simpler. Throw in minor fix to fiq_handler dispatcher, otherwise no functional changes. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17270 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-04-27Gigabeat S: Implement i2c driver - transmit works but no testing of ↵Michael Sevakis1-1/+107
receiving which will get a chance later. Add some seeds for codec driver. Correct a few #defines. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17254 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-04-20move some data around to place qh_array at the start of iram. This saves up ↵Frank Gevaerts1-0/+1
to about 2k iram on PP git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17194 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-04-18UMS for the Gigabeat S. Bootloader USB mode. Has a couple quirks 1) First ↵Michael Sevakis1-6/+10
plug has problems if cold. Replug if it doesn't connect or not at high speed 2) Linux doesn't like the odd bootable flag value used in the partitions so it won't mount but Windows works. Fix minor OTG driver bugs and clean up device memory handling. Generic name for ARC controller driver. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17154 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-04-12Add GPIO manager. Get the PMIC interrupt handling working (along with power ↵Michael Sevakis1-23/+31
button and HP detect). Add some reg field defined instead of using raw numbers. Add PMIC info to debug ports screen. Refine PMIC driver ops a little bit. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17086 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-04-11Serial driver for imx31. Perhaps not 100% but maybe 80-90% (future ↵Michael Sevakis1-33/+70
developments will tell). Factor-out the mc13783 stuff and make that driver a layer above the SPI. TODO: start processing PMIC interrupts. Start a clkctl API for imx31 (we'll see if this sticks around but it seems reasonable here). Misc. stuff for convenience/neatness. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17070 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2008-02-05Oops. Dump some testing stuff that got left in.Michael Sevakis1-2/+1
git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@16217 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-02-05Gigabeat S mixer: Make some progress. Get the tick and core sleep working ↵Michael Sevakis1-273/+311
using the AVIC. Redo the startup code to remap from IRAM and not include the lcd driver frambuffer in the remapping (until it can be moved). Clean up LCD driver. For other misc. changes, see the diffs. Now it progresses to ATA init and fails with -11 but without crashing or hanging. Replace all bootloaders. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@16216 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-12-23Gigabeat S now uses the shared ARM MMU code rather than the (mostly ↵Will Robertson1-1/+1
duplicated) private code. No functional change. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@15961 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
